Fantasy Friday
Halloween!
Today, the dark side reigns
All our hidden selves come to light
In the secret passageways
Of Halloween night

Revelers take to the streets
Or crowd into homes and bars
Concealed behind a million masks
A million vivacious stars

The quite, reserved mom
In a tutu reveals silken thighs
While the tight-laced accountant
Lurks behind a wild pirate guise

Arrrrrrrr!

The gorgeous night club stripper
Is dressed as a nun
And the street-beat police officer
Wears prison garb and has no gun

The conservative couple
Always proper as can be 
Appear on the scene as each other
He as she and she as he

The huge three-hundred pound man
Is a kewpie doll nearly undressed
Wearing but flesh-colored tights
And a tiny little vest 

Down the street slithers a dragon
Covered in thousands of scales
Facing a band of ancient warriors
Brandishing swords with mighty yells

Fairies abound waving their wands
Dancing around with fluttering wings
Granting wishes with fairy dust glitter
To everyone whether paupers or kings

Oh, where am I? You may ask
That’s me, invisible by the wall
With camera and notebook, reporting
Thinking, “How I love you all!”
