Apple announced today that it has developed a breast implant that can store and play music.
The iTit will cost from $499 to $599 depending on cup and speaker size.
This is considered a major social breakthrough, because women are always complaining about men staring at their breasts and not listening to them.

Sacred sites remain spiritually meaningful to millions today and the ancient practice of pilgrimage is as popular as ever. But you don't have to be a believer to recognize that holy places, religious architecture, and sacred art are some of the most beautiful and interesting sights you'll encounter in your travels.

Interesting - sort of a unified field theory for a new age.

Interesting - sort of a unified field theory for a new age.

Originally shared by laurie corzett

"This concept of "mind-field," used as a metaphor, has been useful to me in putting my own experiences in to some kind of perspective. Bache posits that we are always embedded in multiple levels of mind fields that are operative whether or not we are aware of them. In his most recent book, The Living Classroom: Teaching and Collective Consciousness, he describes his experiences observing and enhancing collective "learning fields" within his graduate-level college courses.

Several of the methods for strengthening these effects he borrowed from Tibetan Buddhists, who have a long history of working with these concepts. All of human history and evolution can be told as a story of making what was once unconscious and automatic open to awareness and choice. Those aspects of our individual minds that are intimate with other minds, with collective and transpersonal states of being, may now be coming into our awareness...and not a century too soon.

From these transpersonal points of view we are our brother's keeper in the same sense that the lung is the liver's keeper, and vise versa. A tolerance for poverty becomes a form of self-abuse, and the depredations of power elites against the masses are redolent of an intellect at war with its own unconscious.

Properly understood, these concepts may have ramifications for all groups, not the least of which would be community groups. Whether to enhance human spirit or to safeguard human survival, the exploration of these questions is a spiritual endeavor. That's what spirituality does: it asks hard questions about the interface between the known and the unknown. If it answers questions then it is not spirituality. Either it has degenerated into religion or it has ceded ground to science.

Much that is spiritual will become science and spirituality will have to move its goalposts again, closer to the unknown unknowns. For now, the degree to which we are partaking of a collective consciousness is a vital concern. Intimately related is the degree to which we, individually and collectively, create our own realities."

Cats On The Beach were (musically) born in 2012 due to an insatiable desire to mix music with poetry. Expect songs about drinking, anxiety, religion, class culture, the meat industry, love and irony driven along by neck snapping beats and explosive guitars that flow effortlessly into heart breaking understatement and goosebump melodies. Expect words both caring and cutting and trumpets both muted and mad.

Hey there cat friends and other circle buddies - You should take a peek into this music community. Something interesting and unusual for everyone. from Rock to Rap or from Jazz to Classical.

Cut and Pasted from the Allen West Facebook page

Cut and Pasted from the Allen West Facebook page

I was just hoping to have a relaxing Sunday here in South Florida before catching a flight this evening back to LA, but my day took a turn after an outing at the shooting range, when I encountered the long arm of the law. Coming off the Florida turnpike at the PGA Blvd exit I pulled into the lane to pay my $1.10 charge. However, the fella had closed, so I looked in the rearview mirror and since I was the only one there, I backed up and shifted one lane over to pay my turnpike ticket. And then it happened, at 1:07pm, FHP Trooper M.A. Mickens flipped on his lights and pulled me over. He informed me what I did was illegal and I told him I just wanted to pay my ticket and there was no one else coming through any of the lanes. I figured this would be a warning since I did not see any danger presented, but to my surprise, he wrote me a citation for $166.00. I asked Trooper Mickens if I had placed anyone's life in danger and he responded "no, but you did something illegal." I asked him if he saw any other cars when I backed up, he responded, "no, but that was not the point." I explained to Trooper Mickens that I had served in the Army and this just did not seem like it passed a common sense test and why could I not be given a warning. He responded, "you have to get a citation and it explains your options." I am sure Trooper Mickens has served the Florida Highway Patrol with distinction in his 27 years, yeah, I asked. But this is what perplexes me, where has the ability to make a judgment call gone? Are we now just a nation of unthinking robots which cannot assess a situation in and of itself? I have a perfect driving record that will be tarnished because Trooper Mickens did not think I could make a decision on my own, which threatened no one. I have 30 days to pay the citation of $166.00 to the Clerk of the Court of Palm Beach County. Lastly, no, I never said who I was because I do not deserve any special treatment. This is obviously how we treat law-abiding citizens.

I'll just leave this here. I have some thoughts on this incident and the "status update" but I'll save them for later.

So, flying back home this weekend I was listening to the announcements. They mentioned that the flight crew was based in New York City. Well, I didn't think too much about it, but since it was a busy day at Atlanta, I got to wondering. How did that pilot manage to sit so long on the runway without having a horn to blow at the planes in front of us? Heck, how can any New Yorker drive anything without a horn?

Occupy Palm Beach

Occupy Palm Beach
You can say it's gossip, but it's all fact-checked. And it tells you all you need to know about why the FAU administration is acting clueless. Because the FAU board of trustees, their bosses that hire and fire the university president, is full of people like Elizabeth Fago Smith who know and care nothing about universities. Appointed directly or indirectly by the governor, they're mostly big Republican donors and right-wing hacks like George Zoley, CEO of GEO, and Allan West's wife. Until we get a new governor and a different legislature, this stuff will keep happening.

It is, therefore, difficult to see how any progressive tax can be justified at all. There is certainly no scientific rationale for such a tax. Teddy Roosevelt and Barack Obama to the contrary notwithstanding, a progressive income tax is unfair precisely because it is deeply and unavoidably arbitrary.

To offset those costs, I'm trying to raise funds either through the 1000 zombies project at http://www.gofundme.com/1000zombies or my etsy store http://byronrempel.etsy.com or even through straight out donations ( idrawzombies@hotmail.com) and/or commissions.
Any little bit helps and as a huge thank you to anyone that does help a bit, here's a free download of my zombie coloring book http://goo.gl/kWpGu .

I seldom ask people to share my posts, but if you could share this one, I'd be grateful. Thanks.

This one is for anyone, not necessarily writers.  It's all about your name.  Nobody knows what it's like to have your name but you.  And in character developing names are very important.
So what I'd like to see from you wonderful people, is about 500 words on your name.  Where did it come from? What was it like to live with your name? Would you change it if you could? If so, what would change it to and why?

Word count: 500ish

No need for conflict or resolution or anything, this is just an exercise for fun.  Looking forward to seeing what you awesome folk come up with!

Does anyone else care for a feral colony ?
For decades the only option for people like me who were feeding feral cats and wanted to do the responsible thing and keep them from reproducing, was a process called T/N/R.
And then in a chance Google search, I found the FeralStat site. I could hardly believe what I was reading. A non-profit in Connecticut could prescribe a powdered birth control which could be added once a week to wet cat food and, after two weeks, would prevent female cats from becoming pregnant.
