Last evening I posted a status update on here about a missing 14 year old girl from Idaho whose apparently refused to report her as missing. Help ! I was uncircled recently for respectfully and privately suggesting that a very popular and outspoken conservative/libertarian (if there is such a thing) person would change horses (so to speak) if he was sure that it would somehow greatly benefit him. No biggie. I didn't return the favor as I still find his rants to be thought provoking and entertaining... It has since come to my attention that I can't see his comment on 3rd party public posts. I guess he has me blocked ? Anyway, my question is - Should I be mad ? Shouldn't one of our G+ gurus write an extension to let us know when this happens ? Should we say something before we block somebody ? Any thought on the subject will be welcomed.

Nice "share". My faith in humanity (both sexes) got a bit of a boost

My mother (and father) taught me to be prepared to stop at any time. My mom cited "woman's prerogative". A definite "NO" was not the threshold. Hesitation or tenseness was enough. My dad said that if she didn't want you to stop that she would let you know. 
I will give this guy credit for not being a total jerk. There is hope for him yet. He should have called though. He missed out on a chance for real understanding and growth. (IMHO)

One of G+'s most popular and outspoken conservative celebrities just uncircled me. I always appreciated our honest and respectful exchanges and never once trashed his threads with my evil liberal progressiveness. I respected his honesty and directness and even agreed with a significant part of his world-view. I felt that the sentiment was returned.
Before I cry I would just like to offer some advice.
If you interact with a libertarian and would like to continue to do so please refrain from pointing out that they seem to value self-interest very greatly. Speaking Truth to Power my sound like a good idea but alas - some peeps can't handle the truth.

Bankers got congress to fix things so they could loan money to poor people who couldn't pay the nut. They figured to get the down payment and a few or a bunch of payments and then get the properties back for a big profit. This turned out to be not such a good thing for everybody. (except for the executives at the banks) Hence record profits for banks and a world wide recession...

Everyone on here who know me at all, knows I talk to practically everyone on G+.

I post, hangout with and share comments and Gtalk chats with the "cool kids", the Googlers/staff, etc., the people who are n00bs on here,  the "trolls" and pretty much everyone in between.  I have HIRLed in person with many people I've met through G+.  Hell, I even tried to play nice with the Turd himself, but he went too far and made some ladies I respect feel hurt, so that's why he can't see this post. I don't hate him, he just is on timeout for a bit.  *Please respect this decision of mine*, and don't judge me on it. It's between me and him, and not anyone else on here.

I'm posting this to say that I'm sick and fracking tired of all the stupid wars between users people on here.  Free this person, that person.  I get it!  . But they can take care of themselves, and although I'm sure they appreciate our support (hell, even I was on the bandwagon for a couple people), they are  grown-ups and know what they are doing.  

 I have had some of my posts in the last day or so turn into big debates and even get ugly, between users who were angry about some people being banned.

 I tend to even mute some of my posts after some point, that's my right. Muting is everyone's right, and something I want to emphasize and further expand upon...

The points I want to make are as follows:

► We ALL agreed to a Terms of Service when we registered for an account.

► This means we all agree to use the space in a way that complies.  If we don't, we AGREE that the services can be restricted to us as individuals, or we can be removed from the service.  PERIOD.

► I respect anonymoty  as much as anyone.  If you wish to be anonymous, I have no beef with you. 

► I am not here to do anything really other than have fun and (mostly) play nice (naw, I do mean that). 

If you don't like something someone says in a comment you have several options:

a)   You can ignore them.  You can try to reason with them, or give them some of their own medicine (read: trolls love this, so don't bother feeding them); or you can simply uncircle or block them.  

b) If someone says something that's not a death threat or is not illegal, there's no need to report them.  I mean, that's entirely up to you, I can't tell you what to do on here, but G+ put the reporting system into place for PROPER reporting of that kind of thing.  I would frankly like to know how these reports are handled...perhaps Natalie Villalobos or some other Community folks can help answer this.

If you don't like things that people post in the stream, you can do a few things:

► If you see porn or other NSFW content in your stream posted by someone you have mutually circled for other reasons, yet just don't appreciate that sort of content coming from them, there are  ways you can avoid this being a problem for you.  You can ask them to remove you from that type of circle (it happens sometimes, that we are unorganized, be polite in your request, and make it a personal post, not a public one).  You can also move them to a circle specifically set that you don't view in the stream during certain hours of your G+ activity (i.e., work hours, home with the kids on the computer, etc.)

► If you don't care for someone on here, you can uncircle them or ignore them completely.  I realize that blocking is an option as well, but due to the mutual circling of people, it can be hard to totally obliterate someone's name from appearing in your stream. 

► We don't need to use this space to bash one another, act like children and tattle-tale, or tell/bully others into doing the same. The info I'm sharing here should help everyone better understand (I hope) how to best take care of such matters.

If you don't like some feature or terms of this service, you have a VOICE.  Use it positively to engage with the Google staff on here.  They are here to listen to us, and make this continue to be a better place for all of us than FB and Twitter/what-have-you.

The Google team has public Hangouts at least every Thursday (last time I checked) and they are open to listening to us.  I have heard so many in the webosphere say that G+ doesn't "get social", and maybe that's partly true, but I have to give them credit for offering to listen and take in feedback in a way that trumps any other social space.  Where the HECK else online, can you Hangout with Vic Gundotra, Louis Gray, Hangout director Chee Chew and other Google/Google+ powers-that-be, let alone tag them into conversations about how things work here, right alongside movers and shakers of the web like Matthew Inman, artists and ordinary folks like us who keep this place on its toes?  

Let's please keep this in mind, have fun, and build helpful dialogs and relationships with one another!  

I might be forgetting some stuff here, but it's because I have a lot of shitty shit going on in my personal life right now, and I just wanted to get this crapfest off my chest.
