PHOTOGRAPHY THEMES!

Long ago and far away there used to be decent activity on the photo themes around this place. Things change, people come and go and engagement started waning.

The amazing Heidi Anne Morris has created a community as a way to breathe some life back into these photography themes.

Check it out - are there themes you participate in that are not represented, let her know so they can be added. This will be a great way to keep track of themes and hopefully get some of us back to posting regularly to more than just a scant one or two (I'm totally guilty of this).

Thanks Heidi Anne Morris for all you do around this place!

I got this text msg. on my phone today. I posted it and asked if any of my "friends" wanted to click on it for me. I questioned if it might be legit ???

~ You know, like a joke ~
The only one who advised against it was a google buddy. Several of them offered the opinion that it was a real fb warning. One cited a case of her daughter getting one and even one of my computer savvy peeps missed all the signs.
(sigh)
Be careful out there. Fishing is always in season.
Thank you and for zucks sake ~ if anyone feels froggy and goes there -

DAMMIT ! WHat The hell happened ???

DAMMIT ! WHat The hell happened ???

Originally shared by dPHender son

So... I'm subscribed to about thirty billion author newsletters, and one of them (Farah Cook) today shared a poem by Neil Gaiman that I'd like to pass along...

This is everything I have to tell you about love: nothing.
This is everything I've learned about marriage: nothing.

Only that the world out there is complicated,
and there are beasts in the night, and delight and pain,
and the only thing that makes it okay, sometimes,
is to reach out a hand in the darkness and find another hand to squeeze,
and not to be alone.

It's not the kisses, or never just the kisses: it's what they mean.
Somebody's got your back.
Somebody knows your worst self and somehow doesn't want to rescue you
or send for the army to rescue them.

It's not two broken halves becoming one.
It's the light from a distant lighthouse bringing you both safely home
because home is wherever you are both together.

So this is everything I have to tell you about love and marriage: nothing,
like a book without pages or a forest without trees.

Because there are things you cannot know before you experience them.
Because no study can prepare you for the joys or the trials.
Because nobody else's love, nobody else's marriage, is like yours,
and it's a road you can only learn by walking it,
a dance you cannot be taught,
a song that did not exist before you began, together, to sing.

And because in the darkness you will reach out a hand,
not knowing for certain if someone else is even there.
And your hands will meet,
and then neither of you will ever need to be alone again.

And that's all I know about love.

I was slipping behind and had no ideas. I was getting a little mad at myself and thinking out loud... I asked myself - self, why are you mad ? Myself exclaimed ~ mad ? I'm downright P-O 'd...
And that's how this idea came about.

Aloha

Aloha
Sickness ? Bwahaha...

My best, of several theories is that you perceive things as dynamic rather than static. So you want to share that view to expand others access into the fourth dimension too. (You're an alien)
Second best: It's hard to do and you feel the need to be better at it. We all know that sometimes it's a necessary element in an image and it just sucks to need the skill but not possess it. (blur beat you up one day and now you're kicking it's blurry little butt)
It's exciting and when it clicks and especially when it clicks for the viewer it's a trigger for the endorphins and stuff in your brain. (you're an addict)

I started this with the aim to make some amusing (hopefully) remarks and say howdy. This picture demanded and deserved better though. I really am impressed with this one. I'm not trying to take anything away from a lot of your other ones but you knocked this one out of the park.

So anywho... How ya' doing - I'm fine - etc...
Love Ted
