I saw a post earlier about praying not only for the nine victims and their families but for Dylann Roof too. I believe we should do just that. I will and have. May God have mercy on him and all of us too.

    Sorry ted kelly I surely will pray for the victims, their families, but as for Dylan Roof, I will pray that he roasts in Hell forever.

    From BBC 'gunman Dylann Roof has been pictured wearing white supremacist iconography and reportedly told his black victims: "I have to do it... You rape our women and you're taking over our country, and you have to go."' :-(

    I understand where you guys stand on this. I feel the same way. If I'd been there I'd have tried to stop him, even if it meant killing him. I just believe that my feelings, my "nature" so to speak aren't in line with what my faith require. 
    I'm not as good as I should be. I like to think though that I can be better than I am.

    Christianity teaches love. We forgive even tho the wrong doing was not against us. He is a very lost soul that needs prayer. I can see it in his eyes. He is so aloof and alone. I pray that a chaplain can reach his heart in prison, maybe even figure out the source of his hatred.

    A factoid: The Original (First Flag) of the USA was modeled on the British East India Company Flag (which itself was based on the Red Ensign). ;-)
