I'm going to go shoot some pictures foor a project but I could probably join in from my phone. Otherwise, I'm almost alway on the computer so - whenever is a good time for me.
I've done hangouts on a 1/1 basis like using Skype or Face Time, and that was quite successful. I've also used Hangout for a weekly meeting with a project team. That usually was successful although not without occasional problems. I think there is potential for using it for this community. Time is an issue. I was in the middle of preparing dinner for the family at the appointed time this evening. Do you see this as purely social, or would it be helpful to have a specific topic?
I would love to do one! Today was impossible, but another time, yes, particularly if given a day or two's notice. (with the caveat that the Summer Season of Chaos has just begun, which really messes with my availability)

I never have good luck with them...on my phone, I had no video, on my computer I had no audio, so weird! So I just don't do them.

ReplyDeleteYou aren't the only one - and I'm sure we can time things to fit everyone's availability if we give it some thought.
ReplyDeleteI think we need to set up a time (or two) when we can make it easy for peeps to join in. I tried one yesterday but nobody else was able to make it.
