My contribution to the #sketchgurusaturday stream this week is from a shot I took last week at my mother in laws home. I tried something a little different this time. Instead of taking a shot and then thinking about guru-izing it, I tried to get one just to make it magic from the start.

  2. It's so exciting to see folks experimenting ted kelly!!!  This is a fun photo -- like Oscar says, so many things to look at. I've studied it for a time now but I'm not positive what I'm looking at. It looks like a little bud from some kind of vine?

  3. Smiley face :-) Yes! A future bottle of wine perhaps...

  4. I don't know what I am looking at either, but it looks phallic.

  6. Oh yes paula contreras I am. I was swamped this week and didn't get a chance yet to "explore" much but I got up a little early because I'd hate to miss this.
I wish Kirk Jordan would join us. He's a great photographer and amazing person to boot. Out of the thousands of peeps I'm following, he is one of my top ten (at least - maybe top 2 or 3) favorites.

  8. Okay, I like to play with light... but you are going to have to explain this thing to me.  I see altered photos, but where do I go for the guidelines and such?

  9. Hey KJ - my computer is down and it's hard to enter long things on phone but...
Do a g+ search (explore) the hash tag sketchgurusaturday and you'll see references to everything...
Basics: take a picture and use whatever tools you prefer on any subject matter. The only rule is to have fun and tag four people and that's it...

  10. Hey Kirk Jordan, Ted pretty much nailed it. Use any app/program to edit a photo in a different way than you are accustomed to to explore new things and just have fun with it. #SketchguruSaturday is a no stress, no fuss non-theme. When you post your "sketch" tag the same for people that Ted tagged at the top and you're set. If you want, then you can check the # to see what other people have done.
