Will she continue to collect her $80,000.00 while she continues to not do her job ? I mean, good for her to stand up for her convictions.

  1. I know, as a deputy clerk, if I don't perform my job duties I'll get fired. Funny how that works.

  2. I don't begrudge her opinions. If the male and mostly straight leaders in her church and life have convinced her to believe as they claim to then good for her. She is a brave and strong woman who deserves respect.
I think however that to ignore the law and betray your oath (on the bible) is misguided. I myself would resign if I felt as strongly as she does. (I hope)

  3. I see it more black and white. She was elected/hired to perform specific government duties. If she is unable to perform those duties then she needs to resign her position as Clerk.

  5. Heck, I'd think about running here but the pay is only a piddling  72K.
