Those Dam Stairs !
I used G'MIC and a filter called "Freaky Details" on this. It froze my computer the first time around but it was interesting. (esp. zoomed in)

    It's a strange way of using blurs to sharpen things. I just used a filter but in detail it's fascinating. Here's a nice article about the process.
