I think it's time for every African-American in this country to go out and get a rebel flag or three and start waving them around to show their lack of hate and pride in their heritage too.
It's called co-opting the symbolism and the goobers who survived their heart attacks would either tear theirs down or perhaps actually engage in a conversation with someone that maybe has a different last name for a change.
A rebel flag (meaning the Confederate Flag) would be too inflammatory - on both sides. It would be a toss up between the rednecks and the black panthers on who feels more affronted.
