In these lean hungry times of unemployment
perhaps people should turn off their computers
and step outside doors of their silent homes
to enter neglected shop in back yard
where they may learn again forgotten skills
and grasp ancient tools of clever production
we made from sticks and stones at dawn of time
to farm fields growing worts and herbs and fruit
and shape wood building homes and carts and boats
so we may remember how we got here
retracing each step in development
of progress to create civilization
when seed of science blooms in Tree of Life.

  1. Not to be offensive, but what's so great about pulling water up from the well?
I'd much rather have a water system and a faucet, automate my income so I can play with my child on his tree house rather than have to spend all of my day milking cows and plowing fields.

I really don't get what people have against technology.

Perhaps, instead, in these hungry times of unemployment, people should hone their skills and learn how to contribute to a society of the 21st century rather than long for a stone age type of life.
