  1. Seriously? Your comment is so misleading. The cops had no choice. The gang members who took hostages are to blame here. They put thousands of people's lives in danger here.

  2. Actually they put three people in danger. The cops put everybody else in danger. Then they killed the last hostage. But it's okay now because the money's safe, here's a teddy bear for the kid...

  3. The cops should just allow the robbers to drive off with hostages? Well that sets a dangerous precedence. Make going to the bank a dangerous activity. That isn't the answer. Not pursuing them is what you are advocating right?

  4. Every other police force has a policy that tries to minimize the danger to civilians and safety if hostages. It involves usually surrounding the bad guys at a safe distance and using force in a safe and controlled manner. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but just shooting up a car full of hostages is unacceptable.

  5. The bad guys were shooting first. They were wearing ammunition. The gang members showed their wanton disregard for the hostages by tossing 2 of them out of the vehicle during the pursuit. They shot at other cars and hit houses with their bullets. I'm not sure what else the cops could have done.

  6. Too bad they didn't toss out the one the cops killed too. Then she might still be alive.
