Nikon has unveiled the new Coolpix P∞ superzoom, the world’s first compact camera with a 1458x zoom lens. On a 35mm camera this is equivalent to 34992mm lens that opens up new worlds of possibilities.
“This camera is designed for serious astrophotographers, soccer moms who are on business trips, nosey photographers, and national space agencies,” says Katoshi Yamamoto, Nikon’s chief designer.
