  1. A Maryland-based KKK group was approved to hold a rally on Saturday at Gettysburg

Flabbergasted I was, searching for a word to describe what I am feeling now. The US is a sick country.

  2. Hans Wolters It's one of those things where it is public land so public groups (As long as they follow the rules) can be there... And if the state didn't allow the KKK to do their thing, then they'd have to not allow other groups to use it.

It sucks but it's one of those things where they can't play favorites and say "You are allowed to be here but you are not"...

  4. Hans Wolters It's that whole "Free Speech and Expression" thing - as long as they don't break laws then they can express themselves no matter how horrible the thing they are expressing is.

  5. People everywhere are good and bad. Some people are just harder to love sometimes than others.

  6. Hans Wolters To be honest, this country has so many problems right now that the KKK (And their satellite groups like the Westboro church) just are not important enough to care much about... Which is actually a great way to make them go away (Stop paying attention to them).

  7. We tried that with simular groups during the 70's, it did not work. Hope this will work :-)

  8. Hans Wolters True... But then again, the KKK has been an organization that has been considered horrible and atrociously out of touch with reality for at least a century now. I have to suspect that most members know that their views are not popular... So I can't see how telling them that fact will make much of a difference.
