"Borrowed" from a friend of a friend. I don't know the location. I do know a lie when I see one though.

  1. No children were harmed, but we are paying to get the toys back and tossing good food after badly spent money.  And they are doing it out of the goodness of their heart.

  2. duane smeckert I don't think they would lie about anything on that sign.  Pulling the toys for other reasons could be possible though.

  3. So, claiming it was a safety issue when it clearly wasn't, is basically a lie, 'cause, you know, it's not freakin' true. Chik-fil-a is trying to point the finger at the manufacturer (or the designer, whoever) rather than deal with the actual reason the toys aren't being distributed.

  4. What proof does anyone have that this is a lie?

  5. This isn't proof, just a big steaming pile of speculation.  I hate the twist people put on things in order to discredit good people or companies.

  6. Marc, I appreciate that you want to think the best of these guys, and I certainly tend to agree that until one can prove deliberate, intentional distortion, it's irresponsible to call BS, I just think that the circumstantial case for making that call looks pretty strong here. Nothing that'd hold up in court just now, but in my nostrils it smells. Your opinion may differ.

  7. It's a fact that The Henson people publicly announced that they were withdrawing the licence to distribute those toys. If the vendor had lost the legal right to give them out and posted a notice that they stopped the promotion for another reason it seems clear that they lied.
