Scott Olsen just tossed his medals.

  1. He was one of the vets who threw away their medals at the NATO protest.

  2. All veterans then - or just this one ?

  3. It's an airline advertising site now ? He did serve honorably and earn his medals. There are many vets who I find despicable but I respect their service. Even Alan West.

  4. I demand they respect mine too, of course.

  5. He HAS served to protect you right to express you opinion of him. How many would be ready to die so that he could express his ideas?

  6. And the two tours in Iraq are so easily forgotten. I don't expect you to agree with him Marcus but show some respect. Even the Chicago police waited for the vets to complete their protest before starting to club the other protesters.

  7. I should not try to explain things to a civilian. Go ahead and spit on the veterans who you don't agree with. It's ok. We don't expect any better. It's been the same for soldiers since the "discovery" of peace.

  8. two combat tours is not so quick and yeah I guess I would. Walk a mile (with people trying to kill you) before you criticize someone who was willing to die and kill for you
    .
Or not. You are entitled to. You can do it because brave men and women served their country. Many people come home from war with a new respect for peace.

I give up though Marcus. I understand that you don't value the service of some of our troops. You do value some others. That's what makes this country great. I hope you don't less of me for loving peace but I did my time and I earned my medals and if you don't appreciate it then so be it.
