I've rode on Amtrak and steam - high speed and commuter lines but nothing beats "hopping" a freight. Sitting in an open boxcar door and looking into peoples yards and lives is just so cool.

    Yep - tho' I did take a 30 day AmericaPass trip on Greyhound once that I enjoyed. Airplanes and the internet are great but whenever something is gained, something is also lost.
