Wonder what that was or is - great shot
ReplyDeleteThat is all that's left of a not too terribly old house. Thanks bunches. It's actually four shots though. Who ever said that panoramas have to be horizontal ?
ReplyDeleteNot sure what that is, but it looks cool. Perhaps an old kiln or furnace 👍👍
ReplyDeleteTY TK - Fireplace, or rather chimney from a house that is no longer there.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that's an emotionally moving picture.
ReplyDeleteWhat an enormously gratifying comment ! Thank you Alicia - you have brightened up a rainy dreary morning.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it!
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity and slightly off the wall nature of it - works well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Francesco. It was this or the Parthenon. Ours is just too new, shiny and pretty for my taste. It only dates back to 1897.

Cool find!
ReplyDeleteNice one Ted! I took a vertical panorama for this theme too, but haven't gotten around to stitching it yet. What happened to the rest of the house?
ReplyDeleteKen Fowkes It looks like it burned - but that's mostly a guess. What do you stitch with. I used to use hugin but I'm starting to favor Microsoft ICE.
ReplyDeleteI would have expected to see burn marks on the chimney? Maybe on the other side?
ReplyDeleteI use hugin when I really care, and photoshop when I just want it to be easy. Never tried Microsoft ICE, but I bet it is easier to use than hugin! 8-)
If I ever find out what the story is I'll share it. ICE seems like it's a little quicker anyway.
ReplyDeletequite the feat of engineering and craftsmanship. It doesn't look like it should still be standing :)
