GIMPsterly peeps - HELP !

GIMPsterly peeps - HELP !
One of my circle buddies is having trouble. She seems to be a long time user and just lately her computer (or GIMP anyway) freezes up when she exports a cropped image. Only just export and only if cropped. Any ideas I can pass along to her ?

    Does she have enough RAM memory? If not she can close other programs when she does this.

    She says yes. Also, I can't imagine that cropping would be a big resource hog.

    Cleaning up the cache and recycle bin in the computer and a restart may solve the problem, but if the problem persists then it may a built-in error of GIMP, maybe an update can fix it. Hope she finds a solution soon.

    Me too. She seems to be savvy enough, I think she's working around it by cropping elsewhere for the moment. I'm just intrigued by the circumstances. Only now, only after cropping, and only when exporting - it must Y2K WTF2.015K related...
