Sorry to say but I wont be going but if I were...
I always try to find interesting things that only the locals know about. This looks like someplace I might go. Also I'd likely look at all the local small media things like underground, student and local newspapers.

  1. I'm not able to go either, but if I were this would be really cool.

  2. We have fossils all over the place here. It used to be underwater long ago so it's not difficult to find crinoids, brachiopods, and sometimes trilobytes. Generally, it's easy off road driving, a short walk up a hill and then easy digging.

I've been to Tule Springs but never looked for fossils there. They have peacocks, ponds stocked with fish and picnic areas there so it's pretty nice.

  4. ted kelly I just skipped over the bit about you not being able to come. I'm losing my mind, I swear. I'm sorry you won't be able to come. I would have liked to meet you. I guess I'll just have to get over your way sometime for a photowalk. :)

  5. I'd love that Nancy. Or maybe we could do mini meet-ups for the next (or every ?) hunt in different areas ? Chicago/Austin/Cali/New England etc ???
