I've been trolled in a philosophy group by someone who among other things pointed out that if his doctor believed in aliens he would loose confidence in said doctors medical reasoning credibility.
I pointed out that most scientists do think that there is more of a probability that there is alien life rather than that this is the only place among billions of planets that life could exist.
So - what is the general opinion ?
There has to be other worlds...wether they are inhabited by upright walking life forms who knows....I do not think the human race is exclusive to the universe....in saying that I have not seen anything in the night sky or the daytime sky to prove anything....just my opinion...and if my doctor wanted to chat about said subject...I would be eager to listen to what he had to say.... :-)
ReplyDeleteMe too...
ReplyDeleteOk, 100% to one answer.
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult to think that on such a vast space we're the only ones alive.
Oscar Lovett....Yup.... There has to be others... :-)
ReplyDeleteI've always had the opinion, we're not alone, and I've always thought God is not that small..
ReplyDeleteBy the way - the guy doing the trolling came to the conclusion that he was just being bitchy. He didn't like. apologize or anything but he qualified his opinion to mutually disagreeable but respectful position.
ReplyDeleteIn other words - he'd still change doctors but he agrees that there probably are aliens.
