I wasn't kidding. I tried for 5 min solid and then came back to it several times. It was only after thinking about them being first graders for a while that I stepped back and looked at it.
I guess Chinese would have taken less than 20 seconds - if we remember they write from right to left (also top to bottom).
To test it, I flipped the image and rewrote the numbers - ascending left to right - and showed it to my mom. She got it in 30 seconds - not bad for a 70 yr old, isn't it?
For the record, I couldn't figure it out after staring at it for 5 minutes, till I saw the David Lazarus comment. :-(
Damn their plastic little brains. 20 seconds? That's unpossible.
ReplyDeleteYou don't understand. I got out the scratch paper before I figured out what I was supposed to do.

ReplyDeleteI thought, "maybe the numbers will be in a Fibonacci sequence if I look at it the way the driver would?" Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteExactly - but you got it a lot faster than I did anyway...
ReplyDeleteNormally I hate these so much I don't even try, but this one jumped out at me. It is creative
ReplyDeleteWoah haha nothing feels better than figuring that out
ReplyDeleteHa! The #'s are upside down!
