Creative Expressions Photography I'd check out the settings on your phone camera. Do the pix look good on your phone but not when uploaded. How about image size selection ?
ted kelly the phone photos look good ON the phone but once uploaded to G+ they are soft with no clarity/contrast etc.It can't be the phone settings as when I load the same photos up to FB or Instagram they are good.
Does my picture here look pretty sharp and clear. It's about the same on my phone in the gallery (to my eye )as it is here on the plus.

How about (if you have one on your phone) just as a test - send it from a different app. Pixlr or some other editor ?
