Hi - we did some serious looking around.

Hi - we did some serious looking around.
Hope almost liked this until I showed her the sample knots you sent me and she really like this one. Any chance of getting some in a silvery color?
- The beads shown here might be a shade too big - it's hard to tell but the ones from the necklace you showed me before looked just right
- I think - I don't know;  you're better than me at having a good eye but I think maybe this one has a few too many knots ? (maybe?)
- She did like the little space between the beads in this picture too.

  1. Dear Ted,

If I swap the pearls from cream rose to silver white the price, for materials only, rises up past $300. (A fair bit past.) If she's all right with the cream rose, I can swing the sterling silver findings, given time. I can and will send an email with choices in a day or three if that works. If not... .

She does know that this is a gift, not a commission, nu? T

Unfortunately, the illusion floating bit that she likes is done with nylon monofilament... which Colin won't work with (for good reason.) I'd truly prefer to make something that would last past the first anniversary.. but if she's dead set on the spacing, we can do something with silk in a pleasant grey to match her dress.

If she can accept the compromise of the 6mm crystal cream rose pearls that I've already purchased, then, as I said, I'll send a list of options for the silver accents.

If she truly wants it just so, I just can't -- I'm past my financial limit and it would be six to seven times what you had budgeted before I told you it was to be a gift.

I can and will send you a nice strand of C grade natural pearls with silver toned clasps and celtic fittings, as that will falls within the original figure quoted, if all else fails.

And I do get it -- she's been through hell and back, a touch of bridezilla is something I can accept. Unfortunately, I'm not able to fulfill her dreams in the way a commissioned jeweler might be able to.

Let me know if I should start shopping for the silver knots.

    Affectionately,

     Corey

  3. First off - I love you. Colin too but I'll get back to that in a minute. It has nothing to do with your health, your generosity or even Edison Puppy... It's the raw dynamic energy that you have and share. There are plenty of nice people in the world but there are a few special people who are in the world but also somehow above it. I still feel enervated and empowered from reading your book. Most of the "epic" people are either unable or unwilling to share what they have and well okay, maybe it is your generosity after all. I just know that having a little tiny bit of you in my life makes me feel stronger and younger and somehow more hopeful.
Colin now is differently epic. The peace and elegance that emanates from him is just so soothing. I can feel it all the way over here and when he shares his photos, sometimes they're almost too much to bear. I hope you don't mind if I think that I feel the hand of God brought the two of you together. It really does seem to be a miracle.
I like the creme rose and the size - her thing was the other colors the dark ones and the yellow rock - but I will try to arrange a phone call because sometimes guys don't (I've been told all my life) either listen right of "get stuff" and what the heck, women type people have always (sometimes) been bery bery good to me... (said with a Garrett Morris/Chico Escuela accent)
Lastly - seriously ? thats how they do the floating look ? That's effing crazy. that would take days do do that. I had no idea. I thought it was just stringing a itty bitty spacer on the line. Wow ! SMH and stuff...

  4. Thank, sweets.

The rock is tigereye, as discussed early on. and yep, that's how they do it.

Let's get me in direct contact with Hope. You did a great job of diffusing my temper -- it's safe, I promise.
