My latest blog posting - the first since we returned from Greece - offers an exercise for cynics... or for people who feel threatened by looming propaganda for cynicism -- the poison that has been sickening us for a couple of decades now.  Try the "ritual of the street corner" and see if you don't come away just a bit more impressed with your own society and more willing to accept that your neighbors aren't sheep.  Not entirely.
