    It was that, but I can see where furry critters can differ from the generic case study.

    Also, after both my wife and I getting pretty torn up by new kitteh's claws last week, not declawing is not an option.

    Yeah, it's like removing my fingernails...  I don't have fingernails which can easily leave scars, so not a valid comparison.

  3. Kelly Bradley I can trim one of my cat's nails easily. She doesn't scratch people, just furniture and the carpet on occasion. My male cat rarely scratches me. I just watch him and see when he gets too playful. He will scratch my expensive furniture, but he doesn't do it too often. I value both of them over the furniture.

    A friend had her two cats declawed, and it changed their personalities.

    I understand your position. Your new cat has a home. I'm happy he's no longer in a shelter.
