I saw this shared privately and could swear I smelled b/s. The link to the study looks solid though so it made me wonder - why ? Seriously, why. Why would it matter ?

A single study in any field means almost nothing, especially when the findings are only correlational.
ReplyDeleteThere's no mention made of the criteria used in the study. Without knowing what factors he examined and being showing the specific cause/effect factors we can only take his word there's a correlation.
ReplyDeleteJesus teaches us to turn the other cheek. So, when we've lost our jobs and discovered that the 1% are hiding their money in offshore banks, we forgive them, remember that Jesus loves them, and then take out a second mortgage so we can buy an iPhone from them so they can put their future children through Harvard. It's what Jesus would do.
ReplyDeleteOh, wait-- or were you asking why it matters enough to study it, rather than why Christianity should matter to the economy? Beats me :)
