The Point Was an awesome album. a great movie and one of those made for kids but not really pieces that are timeless clessics. This version has Dustin Hoffman narrating but I think Ringo did a better job.

Harry Nilsson was one of a kind. Ace songwriter, amazing singer and outrageous drinking comrade to the stars are just a few of the fine things on his resume. In 1971, he recorded an album called ‘The Point,’ which accompanied an animated film of the same name.‘The Point’ told the story of Oblio, a round headed boy living in the land of Point, a place where everybody and everything has “a point.” Oblio wears a pointed hat to conceal his “pointless” existence.

  1. Wow, I remember this as was very popular, and not just among the kids.  A tad psychedelic maybe, but it has a point.

  2. Thanks. I never tried acid, but I'm so glad that some people did. I sure miss Harry.
