  6. Walter Hawn no ass hat i don't. I see more fascists actions from the left right now then the right. I voted for lesser of two evils in my view. As Ted said that's how things are post to work. You have the right and freedom to disagree with me and i will protect that freedom best way i see fit.

  7. My knee jerk reaction is to object to terms like ass hat. Not for the usual reasons but because it tends to stifle what might otherwise be a nice long passionate debate.
FTR - I don't personally care much for the far ends of either side of the aisle.I do recognize the value inherent in having those extremes.
In other words - go ahead and walk on my lawn.

  8. ted kelly Only reason i used the term "ass hat" is because he couldn't give me the proper respect to say my name correct then automatically amuse i am some type of fascists. People all have different walks in life and different experiences that push in into learning more left or right went time to vote. Right now i am in my life i feel left is little more anti freedom the right. that's my experiences and would love a civil talk about them as we can both learn from each other and respect others life and choices we make and why. what Walter did was go ahead and amuse me being some type of extreme right person and lump me into worst of them. So if you going to be upset with me using Asshat. You also be upset with his actions. Equality is one of the things left wants right?

  9. Adam Mckeithan I can't answer for "the left" (lol) but I agree with your reply. The mere fact that I disagree with your understanding of things doesn't make them seem inherently wrong to me any more than the understanding of things by the people who are wholeheartedly progressive being "wrong".
In a nutshell - ass hat and fascist are both not only offensive terms but perhaps not entirely accurate either. My reluctance is not with their offensiveness or accuracy though. It's mostly because it can cause the discussion to be unproductive. Ideally, both sides should be able to come away with some sort of appreciation of the other sides point of view. It's easy to say the other guys views are worthless but it's better to try to understand why those views aren't worthless to them.
    (I think ?)
