Christian Madsen I positioned the glass on a mirror that was positioned in the corner of a blue room. The mirror had a very thin gold frame that obviously had to go. I replaced it with a blue gradient in GIMP and then realize that the glass had picked up some too and was able to use the magic wand on it. When I took it to LightZone to lower the highlights I found I had exported a teensy tiny image and just started over from the original. Just a little work on the lighting and some tone and temp sliding and voila'. Fifteen to twenty minutes wasted in GIMP versus maybe three to five in LZ and a much better (for the challenge) result.
This would go as well for the low-key still life, as the ambient light is very low!
