  1. "I" also "love" putting "quotation marks" around words and "phrases"

  2. Why are we suddenly 'debating' facts. There is nothing to debate about evolution or climate change or the 'theory' of gravity or if the earth is round... Where we need debate and discussion is around what to DO about climate change.
I love Bill Nye and he's helping jump start these conversations but I guess I'm frustrated with journalists creating 'fairness' and 'sides' and differing 'viewpoints' when there are none.

  3. I'm guessing you didn't watch it. Bill did a lousy job and pretty much wasted a chance to make a big impact. Also there was no apparent attempt at fairness. Every time she spoke the moderator pretty much implied she was an idiot. While he was indeed correct in my opinion, it wasn't exactly fair.

  4. Nope I did miss it (traveling three days from North Carolina due to the ice / snow storms)... sad to hear it didn't go well.

But like they say in advertising... any news can be good news.

  6. Its not a "debate" when only one side has any facts and the other side is insane.

That is like saying lets have a debate between Bill Nye and Charlie Manson.

  8. Rick Heil "Why are we suddenly 'debating' facts."   It's a neglected and necessary duty, like taking a pet for a walk... we know it's an euphemism, but the alternative is inhumane.
