I'm finding the new g+ to be completely without merit. I just can't see any reason to do anything except look at Mr Jingles and maybe an occasional hashtag themed picture.

Any suggestions on where to go from here ?

  1. I've reverted to classic on desktop and it's stopped asking me to change for now.  On phones - yeah it sort of works - but still meh.....

Things are definitely quieter.  Those who "curate" communities and collections are saying it's good for them.... Yeah because traffic is getting driven there.

I won't go into my personal likes and dislikes. Change comes. I adapt well mostly... But this seems to have killed  it off a bit.  It's not the same place..

FB. Well it has also got  livelier of late.

What  to do.  Wait it out and see what happens and make an effort to communicate with the people I like to communicate with...

  3. Jenn Camforth Oh well, it was good when it was good. I wont quit, I just can't seem to work up any enthusiasm for it.
What's the deal with all the collection spamming, anyway ? I mean all the peeps turning albums into collections. Did I miss a memo or something ?

  4. I'm the same. Not a lot of enthusiasm. Or maybe just a bit not interested in some of the stuff going on. For me getting bored is dangerous. It brings out my trouble making side :)

  6. I haven't looked at ello or tsu for ages. There's medium too for debate.

  8. I just stopped by ello and it was no better than it used to be. So I deleted my account there. Maybe I'll try that IRL place out some more.

  9. I am loving the ability to turn off certain circles entirely. And I have dropped a few people into a silent circle because those few people are just harping at the moment. I have been cleaning out circles and removing people who have not posted in years. In so doing, I am finding some people who never show up for me anymore. So I have been reconnecting with those guys. As far as collection spamming.....people are doing that, in order to make their albums visible once again. So I am okay with it. Some features are returning, like the reply button on comments just reappeared.

  10. Ah. So that's what people have been doing

I'm fine with them doing it. Angry that Google made it necessary.
