Appeal to the Youth of the World

As Nobel Peace Laureates and Laureate organizations we realize that if the commitment to peace and human rights is not passed from one generation to the next our achievements will be short lived. For this reason we applaud the youth the world over who are standing up and speaking out in protest against injustice and inequality and defending the right to peace, social justice and a sustainable future.

We are concerned that old threats to peace are persisting and new ones emerging. We therefore urge young people to organize for peace and learn to prevent and resolve conflicts peacefully. At a time when militarism continues to corrupt the minds of politicians and poison international relations, when a new arms race is unfolding, this must be a key priority. As Nobel Laureate Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “those who love peace must learn to organize as effectively as those who love war.”

Our collective security can no longer focus primarily on the security of states; it must focus on the security of people. Wars and militarism cannot achieve real human security.

Substantial reductions of world military expenditures could eliminate the crushing poverty whereby nearly one third of humanity lives in insufferable conditions. Excessive military expenditures not only represent a theft from those who are hungry but are also an ineffective means of obtaining security.

Equally unacceptable is violence against nature that ruins the environment upon which civilization depends.

All the world’s religions and peoples share similar basic values, such as peace, compassion, love, justice, service towards others, and the alleviation of suffering. Political leaders must recognize our common humanity through deeds rather than mere words.

We urge young people to question leaders about what they are doing to address the main challenges that face the world today:

1. What are you doing for the abolition of nuclear arms and other indiscriminate weapons and for reduction of military spending?

2. What are you doing to bridge the divide between wealth and crushing poverty?

3. What are you doing to save our planet from environmental disaster?

4. What are you doing to protect and promote human rights and equality between womenand men?

We offer the world’s youth our support and our experience as they pursue a better future. We urge them to achieve change through peaceful and moral means. We need your enthusiasm and we want you to join us in our continued quest for peace and justice.

There are few actions one can take in life that always result in a positive outcome. Taking off your pants is one of those few blessed events.

Several things can happen after you take off your pants. In my personal experience, each and every one of those events that happen after I take off my pants are good things indeed. I recon you share this experience as well.

I'll even take it one step further: The chance of something good happening seems to be much higher when you have your pants off rather than on.

For example, have you ever been to a funeral without wearing pants? Of course not. Funerals require pants.

When it is your wedding day, you put on a tuxedo, which includes pants. When you take off those pants, you will find that your testicles will be missing.

Notice that when the State executes prisoners, they are wearing pants. I mean the guy that's about to die. Those other assholes are probably wearing pants too.

You can't shit your pants unless you are wearing pants.

Wearing sandals with pants looks downright silly. Thus, wearing pants significantly reduces your footwear options.

Laundering pants is more expensive than any other legwear option.

These days most pants are made by children who are slaves.

According to the bible, Jesus Christ did not wear pants.

Your existence began with a pantsless situation.

If you're not careful when you zip up your fly, you could cause major damage to your penis. The law of averages is not in your favor here.

Testicles work better when they are nice and cool. Wearing pants makes your testicles warmer, which will lead you to having sperm that make retarted babies. Retarted babies are very expensive. You may not be able to afford pants anymore if you have one. If you had simply not worn pants to begin with, you would have a healthy child and a handsome savings dividend.

Police in Rockport are looking for a missing 3-year-old girl who was last seen playing ball with her sister near the water on Thursday afternoon.
Rockport police said the 3-year-old girl was last seen at about 12:10 p.m. from the area of a footbridge that connects Rockport's Long Beach to Cape Hedge Beach.

State police identified the girl as Caleigh Anne Harrison. They said she has light brown hair and blue-gray eyes. She was last seen wearing a light pink T-shirt and dark pink capri pants.


She is about 27-35 pounds and under 3 feet tall, according to WBZ.

Police said the girl was at the beach with her mother, sister, 4, and dog when she disappeared.
