Sadly, the #grateartwednesday theme is drawing to a close. Thanks to Gary Posner and of course David Washington for curating it so well and for so long. They showed me a different way to look at things and that's a wonderful thing to have experienced. I'll miss Grate Art Wednesday but will benefit from the experience for as long as I can grip a camera.

Just before I took this #grateartwednesday shot I had the opportunity to use one of my favorite lines. "It's okay officer", I said, "I'm a photographer".

I then showed him a bit of my Grate Art Wednesday stream and he understood. Thanks to Gary Posner and David Washington and their commitment to gratuitus art for getting me out of a ticket. (at least)

I was thrilled to get down to 175 lbs. in 2011. It crept back up since then to about 200 but in the last year or so I've gotten a lot more active and tonight I hit 165 !!!

It's been far too long since I last went hunting the elusive #grateartwednesday picture. Shoot, it's been quite a few weeks since I even snapped a serendipitus opportunity that I stumbled across to share with Gary Posner and David Washington. I've mostly settled into my new life back in Florida and I'm overcoming the shock of going back to work now. So it's time, I think to take a little "Me Time" again and take up some of my old photographic challenges.

Most of the #grateartwednesday shots I take are of "working" grates. I was out with a new person, scouting for great grates and shooting farm equipment and swamp buggies and stuff and on the way home saw a grate that was actually intended to be art. She was riding shotgun and had me turn around and go back. I think she's a keeper...
