You can say it's gossip, but it's all fact-checked. And it tells you all you need to know about why the FAU administration is acting clueless. Because the FAU board of trustees, their bosses that hire and fire the university president, is full of people like Elizabeth Fago Smith who know and care nothing about universities. Appointed directly or indirectly by the governor, they're mostly big Republican donors and right-wing hacks like George Zoley, CEO of GEO, and Allan West's wife. Until we get a new governor and a different legislature, this stuff will keep happening.
